Benny Benassi Answers Some Burning Questions:
What are the main elements you are looking at in the selection process for this competition?
Benny Benassi: This isn't a competition! First and foremost we want people to become part of a campaign or a movement and have fun, its such a big track and has lasted so long on the club scene I want fans to experience a new way of being a part of it.
Is there a statement you’re making about music today by opening your hit song up to a virtual remodel by any kind of talent?
Not really. But music is about how people connect with and interpret your songs. I wouldn't be here without my fans and it is a great way for me to be involved in a project with them. It's just a new way of working with the music and the internet.
Give participants a few tips on how to make their own video for #VIRTUALCHOIR stand out:
Just join in and have fun, its all about becoming part of something.
What’s your favorite movie?
Whatever is playing on the in-flight entertainment system.
What’s your favorite thing to do at the Cosmopolitan Las Vegas?
I have a residency at Marquee which is the night club and day club inside the Cosmopolitan, and I have been going there for a few years now, so playing there is definitely the best thing to do.
How has Ultra Music changed the music industry?
Ultra Music have for me been a really crucial part of my career, they were releasing electronic music before anyone else in the US really and they supported me from the start. That's their job, to find new talent and support it. That's a very important job!
