Gillie Da Kid is set to portray the legendary Tupac Shakur in the upcoming Suge Knight biopic.
Shakur has been portrayed on the big screen before, like in the Biggie Smalls film Notorious, but now former YMCMB artist Gillie Da Kid will take the role. The rapper told AHH that he has already seen the script and received some financial security for the flick.
"Definitely got a budget in place for that right now, so I’m just waiting to find out when we shooting," Gillie said. "I’m not in on the producing of that I’m just an actor. Whenever I get the word its time to get busy."
Gillie believes he'll be able to portray Pac accurately.
"We already know I’m ‘G’d’ enough to play ‘Pac, that was never a question after they put a little make up on me," said Gillie. "I been in the gym. I’m trying to put on a little 10 (pounds) real quick."
Gil Smith will grave the silver screen later this year alongside heavy hitters Ving Rhames, Steven Seagal and Danny Trejo in a film called Force Of Execution, due in November.
"Just know I’m going to transform like Will Smith did when he played Ali," he added.
