The NBA is putting the work in "workout" off the court for the NBA FIT Live Healthy Week. The campaign, which will run from Jan. 3 through Jan. 10, will pit the league's brightest stars with celebrity chefs and personalities to show fans how to get right and eat right just in time for the new year.
Culinary connoisseurs like Rachael Ray, Mario Batali, Marc Forgione, Dale Talde, Roblé Ali, Bill Telepan, Candice Kumai and Ali Maffucci will take to the “Celebrity Chef Corner” on the NBA/WNBA FIT website to share easy and healthy-to-make recipes while NBA trainers and players serve up their own workout videos.
The 2014 NBA FIT Team, comprised of Stephen Curry from the Golden State Warriors, Tyson Chandler from the New York Knicks, Al Horford from the Atlanta Hawks, Ryan Anderson from the New Orleans Pelicans, Brandon Bass from the Boston Celtics, Wes Mathews from the Portland Trail Blazers, Otto Porter from the Washington Wizards, Greivis Vazquez from the Toronto Raptors and WNBA players Tamika Catchings, Nneka Ogwumike and Cappie Pondexter, will strive to encourage fans to remain active, eat right and play into a healthier lifestyle.
