Judging by the gang of folks that showed up for Hot 97 personality Angie Martinez’s birthday party on Sunday, terrestrial radio isn’t exactly dead. But judging by Angela Yee’s The Morning After Sirius XM show on Eminem’s Shade 45 station, satellite radio is where it’s at. And after seeing Eminem’s manager Paul Rosenberg tweet about the fact that Shade 45 and the rest of the SiriusXM lineup (minus Howard Stern’s show) will be available through an app for 3G-enabled Blackberrys soon? Well, it’s about time you made the switch to satellite if you haven’t already. The app will presumably be free of charge, but in order to use it, you’ll need either a Storm 1 or 2, a Bold 9000 or 9700, a Tour 9630 or a Curve 8900, 8520 or 8530. And, of course, you’ll need a SiriusXM subscription, too. Coming sooner than you think. ––Chris Yuscavage
