Previously, test units were distributed solely to software developers, but now the company's opening up the pool. Those anxious to try out these futuristic spectacles can sign up through Google here.
According to Google, the ideal test subjects are “bold, creative individuals who want to join us and be a part of shaping the future of Glass." Features of the glasses include picture and video snapping, alerts, web surfing and voice-operated messaging.
There’s a catch, however: candidates have to fork over $1,500 to test the glasses and go to an event in either New York, San Francisco or Los Angeles. The deadline for applications is Feb. 27.
