Not only did an Air Yeezy-clad Kanye West come out of hiding since the birth of his daughter North West, the Yeezus rapper popped up into timelines to Twitpic what his reality star beau Kim Kardashian got him for Father's Day. Hint: it wasn't just a baby.
"One of the other gifts my girl gave me for fathers day," 'Ye wrote as the caption under a pic of two computer mice, signed 'Woz' and 'Steve Jobs,' the two tech geniuses responsible for Apple.
Mr. West hasn't kept his standom for the Apple co-founder secret. Rewind to his earlier days on Twitter when the Chi-town rapper wrote an impassioned rant, praising the e-gawd.
"WE LOST STEVE A YEAR AGO TODAY…" tweeted West last October. "HE IS ONE OF THE MOST INSPIRING AND INFLUENTIAL HUMAN BEINGS OF OUR EXISTENCE ALONG WITH MICHAEL JACKSON, WALT DISNEY, AND DR. KING. LET'S BE THANKFUL FOR HIS LIFE AND RESPECT HIS LEGACY BY NEVER COMPROMISING ON OUR FUTURE."
In a recent interview with the New York Times, he even likened himself to his digital idol. "I think what Kanye West is going to mean is something similar to what Steve Jobs means. I am undoubtedly, you know, Steve of internet, downtown, fashion, culture. Period. By a long jump. I honestly feel that because Steve has passed, you know, it's like when Biggie passed and Jay-Z was allowed to become Jay-Z."
Now these presumably one-of-a-kind personally autographed computer pieces may just allow Yeezy to get more tech savvy as he preps his first official single off Yeezus and its visual complement. Oh, and a little thing called fatherhood.
