A gunman, described as "fairly young" by witnesses, opened fire at Los Angeles Airport Friday morning (Nov. 1), shooting three people, according to the L.A. police department. Suspects are reportedly in custody.
The LAPD said they were on "tactical alert due to a major incident" at the airport near Terminal 3. The fire department said they were assisting at a multi-patient incident.
Reports say that a TSA agent was shot and wounded. The weapon used was said to be a high-power AR-15 rifle. LAX is still operating limitedly.

Today at 9:30 am a single shooter in LAX around terminal 3 area started shooting. Multiple victims were injuried. LAX PD engaged the suspect. Suspect was taken into custody. For precautionary reasons terminal 3 and surrounding areas will be swept.
Chief of police says the gunman opened fire at the TSA screening area. Security sweeps have been conducted throughout the entire airport. Victims have been transported.
