TMZ has learned that Halle Berry is engaged to Olivier Martinez. Despite previous reports from months ago about the couple preparing to marry, this engagement is new. It occured sometime after the first of the year.

The engagement is significant because Halle is asking a judge to allow her to move to France with Olivier and her 3-year-old daughter.

There's no word on when the two will marry but hopefully Ms. Berry picked the right one this time.
