Just when you thought you could get super-excited about X-Men: Days of Future Past, Halle Berry tells cinephiles that she's involved. Cue the collective sigh!
"I'm in. I think I'm in," the actress told Access Hollywood's Laura Saltman, when asked if she is 100 percent going to appear in the Bryan Singer-directed Marvel mutant movie. Originally, the Cleveland, Ohio born actress played Ororo "Storm" Munroe in the X-Men trilogy which found fans mixed in their review of her performance.
After months of speculation, it seems that there will be rough weather ahead for mutant-kind and Friends of Humanity supporters. "I am [excited], yeah," the Oscar award winning actress said, when asked if she's looking forward to donning her superhero duds again. "I love Storm. That's one of my favorite characters that I've played. And people love that character as well."
The latter is true. But in regards to her performance as Storm, it left much to be desired. Our hope is that with all the advancements Singer has made with Days of Future Past that Storm will mirror her regal and impacting self from the comics. Berry, as the cloudy-eyed, weather-controlling mutant, joins a long roster of new and returning stars to the X-Men franchise for Days of Future Past including Hugh Jackman, Michael Fassbender, Patrick Stewart, Ellen Page, Sir Ian McKellen, James McAvoy, Omar Sy, Jennifer Lawrence and more.
You can expect the picture to hit theaters on July 18, 2014.
