It's no secret that 50 Cent enjoys a challenge when it comes to his music. It's hard to forget his public competition with Kanye "Yeezus" West, where they battled to sell the most records when their projects released on the same day. After a five year musical hiatus, the tables have turned. This time around, 50 was in competition with himself, and unfortunately fell short.
Last week, 50 Cent released his fifth project, Animal Ambition. By the 8th, Hip Hop DX says 50 sold a total of 46,728 albums, making Animal Ambition the lowest selling album out of his catalogue. According to The National, this is 50's first album since parting ways with his long time label Shady/Aftermath.
Hopefully, there's a turn around come September when he plans to drop Street King Immortal. Fif and his newly-reconciled team, G-Unit, also plan to release an album later this year in November.
