The almost unbelievable tale of former New York Knickerbocker, Jeremy Lin, made the city and the nation stand up in amazement. Now, the documentary film has acquired distribution and release.
After making an impacting debut at this year's Sundance Film Festival, the Jeremy Lin documentary will launch in Boston, Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco, along with 10 to 15 other cities. The project follows the Houston Rockets point guard's life from his childhood in Palo Alto, California, to his meteoric ascent to stardom in early 2012 when he was with the Knicks.
His playing effort and marketability helped give rise to the term "Linsanity," to mark his insanely popular status within the National Basketball Association. Financed by 408 Films, Ketchup Entertainment has aquired Evan Jackson Leong's film and has been in the works ever since the former was filming Lin when he played ball at Harvard University.
Produced by Christopher Chen/Endgame Entertainment, Brian Yang/408 Films and Allen Lu, Linsanity will light up box office scoreboards on October 4.
