Gangster rapper turned actor Ice-T is teaming up with Vans Syndicate for a set of sneakers that coincide with a full interview done by Vans' Syndicate newspaper.
The “Rhyme Syndicate” pack includes the classic Chukka and Sk8-Hi models, designed in true O.G. fashion. Both shoes are heavily influenced by Ice-T's epic rap career, drawing inspiration primarily from his albums Rhyme Pays and Original Gangster. The "Cop Killer" rapper has mentioned that one of the shoes is more gangster (Sk8-Hi) and the other (Chukka) is more pimp. The "gangster" editions feature Ice's moniker in Old English font along the sides, the initials "O.G." on the back and "Rhyme" embroidered on the tongue. White canvas is combined with fine black suede material on the Sk8-Hi models, while the smoother Chukka model consists of a sleeker nubuck material. Inside the Chukka's are Ice's lyrics written in gold, with a large parental advisory - explicit content sticker stamped over them. Both shoes are slated for a Fall '13 release date.
