Idris Elba may be itching to get on Lena Dunham's good side. The Golden Globe-nominated actor tweeted out his appreciation for the no-holds-barred comedy show Girls on HBO and its creator Dunham yesterday (Jan.22) asking for a role, according to the Huffington Post.
He even made a promise to the Girls mastermind by tweeting:
@lenadunham Very funny woman. Can I come do a scene on your show?...i promise, NO selfies...:)

The tweet was later deleted, so perhaps he didn’t get the answer he was looking for. But for a man who was able to wow as Nelson Mandela, a little cameo on Girls wouldn't hurt anybody.
And hey Idris, if desperate times call for desperate measures, you can always learn Lena Dunham's Vogue "Cover Girl" dance (see below) and impress her into casting you that way.
