iPhone 5 To Have Longer-Lasting Battery?

The iPhone 5 may be getting battery with a larger capacity!

Photos of what claims to be the new iPhone 5 battery have leaked, leading to suspicions that the new battery will last longer.

The battery is said to be increasing by 10 mAh, causing it to run at 1440 mAh. And while there will be a slight increase in its capacity, the potential new 4G LGE capabilities also said to be a component of the new phone, will drain the battery and equalize it to that of its predecessor.

The leaked photos suggest that Apple may have increased the voltage from 3.7V to 3.8V with a higher watts-per-hour measurement (5.45).

Rumors also suggest that the new iPhone will include less battery draining features such as Qualcomm’s Gobi chipset, which can resolve the problem of the new battery being offset by the phone’s 4G LGE capabilities.
