Isaias Gamboa Explains Who Wrote "We Shall Overcome"

VIBE TV catches up with Isaias Gamboa to discuss his new book titled "We Shall Overcome". The book is about a woman named Louise Shropshire, who wrote the original lyrics for "We Shall Overcome", but never received payment, or credit for her incredibly historic piece of music.

"Who takes a sacred song, secularizes it, you know, plagiarizes it, copyrights it and makes a bunch of money? Who does that? So I said this is kind of a darker thing to me, it became a spiritual quest to right a wrong," explains Isaias Gamboa.
