It's Not TV: It's Tracy Morgan on HBO
Like the iconic comedy concerts of Richard Pryor, Eddie Murphy and Chris Rock before him, Tracy Morgan is about to get the standup comedian special treatment this fall on HBO.
Tracy Morgan: Black and Blue airs on the cabler in November. The special will be taped from the 30 Rock’s star live standup concerts that will happen at New York City’s Apollo Theater on September 24th and September 25th.
Morgan not only serves as executive producer of the standup special, but he’s also the sole writer of the material as well. So expect all of his best unexpected, uncensored and off the cuff material to be abound. In a statement released by HBO Morgan said, "“The special is going to be all the elements: fire, water, earth, air, the comedy bender, the avatar of comedy experience." —Ronke Idowu Reeves
