It's Official! Will Ferrell Will Return as Ron Burgundy in 'Anchorman 2'

Ron Burgundy, err, Will Ferrell officailly announced plans for Paramount to produce a sequel

to his outrageous comedy classic, Anchorman.

Details were skimp, but Adam McKay will return to direct and co-write the script with Ferrell.

While in character during a surprise apearance on the Conan O'Brien show, Ron Burgundy made his grand announcement.

“I want to announce to everyone here in the Americas, to our friends in Spain, Turkey, and the UK, including England…that as of 0900 Mountain Time, Paramount Pictures and myself, Ronald Joseph Aaron Burgundy have comes to terms on a sequel to Anchorman. There will be a sequel.”
