American Music Award nominee J. Cole stepped out on the red carpet at last night's ceremony and chatted it up with VIBE host LaToya forever to discuss his new album Born Sinner due January.
When asked what the meaning of the title was, the North Carolina-bred spitter said it deals with corruption in the business. "Nobody's perfect...When you're an artist and you come in the game, you gotta appeal commercially; when you're in a relationship and there's so much temptation in the world," says Cole. "I don't wanna say it's so deep but it deals with those things."
The "Can't Get Enough" rapper also said that fans can still expect the Kendrick Lamar collaboration album. "His album just killed the game and I'm about to be done with my album in a month," he says. "Hopefully when I finish my album, we can get into the studio real soon."
