'Jackass' Star Bam Margera Apologizes For Threatening To Shoot Puppy

Call it a jackass move.

Reality star Bam Margera is facing heavy backlash for posting a Twitpic of himself putting what appears to be a gun to a pitbull puppy's (named Penny) head with the message: "Penny pooped in my bed. If it happens again, Penny goes Bye Byes."

The 33-year-old set the record straight in an interview with the Philadelphia Inquirer, emphasizing that he did not own a gun and that the weapon in the photo was fake. "I feel like every follower I have on Twitter knows my Jackass joking kind of humor," he said. Though he pointed out that no one fussed over a photo he tweeted of him pointing a faux gun to his friend's head, he made light of the situation. "All press is good press."

It turns out that his resident hometown Chester County, Pa. is also experiencing an increasing rate of animal cruelty. "I think those people need to go down," he said, adding that he would've never posted the photo if he'd known the about the abuse cases. "Just hurting another animal is rude, crude and more."

His girlfriend Nikki Boyd insists she's the dog-lover while Margera is "the crazy cat person."
