Jadakiss Reveals ‘Top 5′ Album Features, Collaborative Mixtape With Yo Gotti

The eternal debate over the “top 5 rappers of all time” is one of hip-hop’s most talked about arguments. Most fans have at least one of these names on their list: Biggie, 2Pac, Jay-Z and Eminem. Even fellow rappers are quick to name the big four, but for some MCs the question isn’t up for debate.

Yonkers’ own Jadakiss has embraced his frequent “top 5” stamp with open arms. On his upcoming fourth solo album, aptly titled Top 5, Dead Or Alive, Kiss is set to give listeners another reminder of his status. With his newly released lead single, “Big Boy Dialogue” (feat. The-Dream), currently getting burn on radio and online, the LOX rapper promises some big name features to help him slice through the competition.

“The L.O.X. is definitely on it,” Jadakiss tells VIBE about his LP. “Songs that I got done? Jeezy, Wiz, Chris Brown… I got Weezy on there, too. The vintage Weezy, that mixtape killer Weezy. I got Rozay, but we may do another one.”
“My son’s favorite artist is J. Cole, so I think I got to throw him on there,” Kiss continues. He loves A$AP Rocky, but it’ll probably be one of them.”

Mr. Raspy says he isn’t quite done with recording, but plans to feed the streets all summer long. Kiss revealed that he has a collaborative mixtape also on the horizon.

“Me and Yo Gotti got a mixtape done,” Jadakiss tells VIBE. “We might put it out commercially because it’s all original songs. We probably got to do 2-3 more joints, but that’s going shake shit up. That will probably come before my album drops. There’s no title yet but we got some heat rocks.”

LOX fans need not worry as Jada says the group album is coming after his Top 5 project. Patience, people. —Mikey Fresh
