/ August 28, 2014

Jay Z, Kanye West and Frank are being hit with a copyright infringement for a track from their 2011 collaborative project Watch the Throne.

According to XXL, New York musician Joel McDonald is claiming that the trio snatched his 2009 song “Made in America” from his track of the same name. McDonald is reportedly seeking $3 million in damages.

This isn’t the first time Jay and ‘Ye have faced legal trouble for WTT. Shortly after the LP’s release, singer Syl Johnson came forward with a copyright infringement suit for using his vocals on “The Joy” without permission. The case between Johnson and the rap duo was later settled.
