Jay-Z Plans To Welcome Brooklyn Nets With Eight-Concert Series

Jay-Z Plans To Welcome Brooklyn Nets With Eight-Concert Series

Posted September 26, 2011

Hov has finally made it official. The New Jersey Nets will be coming to Brooklyn in 2012.

The NYDailyNews reports Jay-Z plans to kick things off with an eight concert series next year.

Sources say Beyonce and other special guest performers will join Jay on certain dates of the set. The rap mogul is scheduled to personally make the announcement today with Bruce Ratner and Borough President Marty Markowitz at the Prospect Heights construction site of the team's new stadium.

The Brooklyn Nets new official homecourt will be at The Barclays Center, at Flatbush and Atlantic Avenues in Brooklyn. It is set to open on Sept. 28, 2012, with the first concert. The opening will be followed by three weeks of special events before the basketball season starts. Brooklyn Nets tickets went on sale in March.

Stay tuned for more on this developing story.
