Jay-Z has definitely been showing his support for Obama this week. After suggesting he may want to ask the President to perform at the Made in America festival in September, on a more serious note, Jay-Z also supports Obama’s decision to back same-sex marriage.
In a recent interview with CNN post his Philadelphia press conference, Hov compared the struggle to allow same-sex marriage to discrimination of black people.
“It’s no different than discriminating against blacks,” Jay said.
Mr. Carter also believes it’s something that’s “still holding the country back,” and fully supports Obama’s decision.
“I think it’s the right thing to do,” he later stated. “Whether it costs him votes or not, it’s not about votes. It’s about people.”
