Fear not, JLo fans.
Despite the fact that she was recently dropped by her label, Sony/Epic, and that her first two singles, “Louboutins,” and “Fresh Out Of The Oven”, were met with a resounding ‘meh’ by fans and listeners, Jenny from the block has confirmed that her newest album, “Love?”, will be released in the summer as planned.
In a statement she said, "I know my fans have been wondering what's been going on with my album. I have been in the process of a transition and now I am happy that all the issues have been resolved and I have found a new home.
I have fulfilled my contractual obligations to Sony/Epic and felt it was time to move on. It was an amicable split not as the media will paint it out to be," she continued. "I have been with Sony for many years and we achieved great success together. During this period I never stopped the creative process and my album 'Love?' will still be released in the summer of 2010 as planned."
Although it has not yet been confirmed where exactly her new home will be, all of the rumors point to Island/Def Jam. In the meantime, those looking for their J-lo fix can catch her on Saturday Night Live this weekend as both the host and musical guest. - Jonathan B Eiseman
