Joe Jackson Hospitalized With Stroke

Joe Jackson, father of the late Michael Jackson, suffered a "mild" stroke Thursday morning and is currently in a Las Vegas hospital. According to CNN, the 83-year-old Jackson family patriarch is in "very good spirits" and will only spend one night in the hospital.

This marks at least the third stroke Jackson has suffered in the past five years, although CNN says all three have been mild in nature and not thought to be life threatening. The elder Jackson was the driving force behind the Jackson 5, and helped launch and manage the careers of his children, including Michael and Janet Jackson. Joe Jackson does not live with Michael's children - they are currently living with Jackson's mother, Katherine, in California.
