[AllHipHop] Brooklyn rapper Joell Ortiz has responded to comments made by Big Pun's widow Liza Rios, who expressed displeasure with Ortiz' tribute record "Big Pun's Back."
Joell Ortiz released his version of Rick Ross' track "Tupac's Back," which pays homage to Big Pun, who passed away from a heart attack in 2000. Liza Rios took to Facebook where she labeled Joell Ortiz' song "disrespectful" and said he had no regards for her or her family, especially her son Baby Pun, who also raps.
Ortiz dismissed the allegations via Twitter.
"Shout to Nicole, Pun's Sister and MaMa Pun for the kind words. GOD will judge by my intentions. Im good with that," Joell Ortiz said. "No matter how good your intentions may be there will always be some negativity if you take action," Joell tweeted. "Still gotta do what you feel is right."
