Joey Bada$$ didn’t appreciate Joe Budden’s five-minute lyrical onslaught in response to Kendrick Lamar’s infectious “Control” verse. “F**k all the subliminals, now n***as saying names/Some of these O.G.s, I laugh at/Y’all don’t know me to half-a$$/To me, it’s just one Joey that’s bad-a$$,” Budden rapped — clearly calling out the 18-year-old Brooklyn emcee. Over the weekend, Bada$$ acknowledged his counterpart from New Jersey with a simple tweet, far less than 140 characters. “Unphased by joe buttin,” he wrote via the social media site. Bada$$ has yet to respond to the original verse crafted by K.Dot but did take to Twitter to vent on his initial reaction. “Big Sean verse was weak,” he tweeted. “Sorry…A lot of u rap nikkkaz scared to speak your opinions fuck dot!!!” Joey is still prepping his debut album B4.Da.$$, while Joe is set to appear on season four of VH1’s Love and Hip Hop New York this fall.
