Judge Judy sued? It really is a case of Judge not, lest ye be judged!
Judge Judy, aka Judith Sheindlin, is in hot water after apparently buying some dishes from a producer on her show. Producer Randy Douthit sold Judge Judy a set of fine china after splitting from his wife. But Judge Judy paid just $50,000 for a set allegedly worth more than $500,000. Half a mill on some plates? Damn!
Douthit's wife Patric Jones brought the suit, claiming her ex and Judge Judy conspired to prevent her from getting the dishes in the divorce.
It's definitely odd to see Judge Judy sued, and the TV Judge told TMZ she had no idea about the suit.
"I have not seen any complaint by the former Mrs. Douthit, however, I don't owe this lady a cent,” she said. “And if this 50-year-old woman would spend her time more productively at trying to find a job, instead of abusing the judicial system with frivolous lawsuits, we would all be a lot better off."
