While there were no signs of drug abuse, Junior Seau's toxicology report showed a drug used to induce sleep was in his system.
After his suicide in May, family members of the former linebacker revealed that he used the sleeping pill Ambien, the most known brand for zolpidem, which was the drug found in his system.
Close friends and family also mentioned that the football star suffered from insomnia over the years and did not always take the sleeping drugs.
A friend who worked out with Seau at the gym, Nancy Emsley, said she often reminded him that he had to sleep for eight hours after taking a pill, however, he would merely roll his eyes.
