Kanye West has reportedly been in seclusion in Paris since the city’s fashion week, working on new music. Sources now tell New York Post’s Page Six that the rapper will soon make his return to the States and that Yeezy will appear as the musical guest on "Saturday Night Live!" on May 18.
Though NBC has not confirmed an upcoming appearance from the G.O.O.D. Music leader, the network also did not outwardly deny the possibility. The most recent (indirect) mention of the rapper on the show came from none other than Justin Timberlake, who reportedly responded to Mr. West’s criticism of his single “Suit & Tie” during his SNL performance back in March.
During his own 2010 appearance on the show, Kanye curbed his aggression by replacing his “Fuck SNL and the whole cast/Tell ‘em Yeezy said they could kiss my whole ass” line with an entirely new verse. The alleged SNL appearance could also mean that new Kanye West music will be coming sooner than anticipated. Until then, check out his last SNL performances of "Power" and "Runaway" here:
