Seems rapper Kanye West has no problem keeping up with his famous in-laws.
With his upcoming album Yeezus dropping next week, Kanye West has looked to the family for talent in his upcoming video, InTouch reports. Scott Disick, Kourtney Kardashian's significant other, and family friend Jonathan Cheban are rumored to star in his upcoming video, inspired by American Psycho. The video was filmed this past weekend at Brooklyn Fireproof soundstages and will reportedly be released later this week.
An insider says that the "New Slaves" rapper hopes that the video will go viral, also revealing that Cheban "actually gets killed in the end.” But the eccentric marketing strategy is part of his mission to rack up sales.
"Kanye is definitely on edge and nervous about how this album will sell,” the source said. “He won't promote it the normal way, and he wants to create buzz with all these weird, secret demonstrations.”
At his Governor's Island performance this past weekend, Kanye boasted his unique sales pitch. "We ain't drop no single to radio. We ain't got no big NBA campaign or nothing like that, we ain't even got no cover," he said. "When I listen to radio, that ain't where I wanna be no more. And honestly, at this point I can give a fuck about selling a million records, as long as I put out an album y'all can rock to all summer."
While West gears up for the release of his new album hitting stores June 18, he should also prepare for late night bottle feedings and early morning diaper changes. His girlfriend Kim Kardashian's due date is fast approaching as the couple expects to have a baby girl this July. - Kandice Lawson
