You can add another title to the growing list of names associated with Kardashian momager Kris Jenner — talk show host. More details after the break.
The businesswoman, author and Kardashian matriarch announced in conjunction with Fox Television Stations and 20th Century Fox Television that she will be the host of her own talk show, Kris. The new daily one-hour talk show will offer "a daily jolt of celebrity guests, fashion and beauty trends; plus a mix of lifestyle topics — all through the distinctive and unpredictable perspective of Kris Jenner," a press release obtained by the Los Angeles Times notes.
"Whether offering real advice to her family or sharing personal moments with viewers, Kris is honest, compelling, entertaining, and unscripted — all excellent qualities for a daytime talk show host," said Stephen Brown, EVP of Development & Programming, Twentieth TV. With Fox executives excited about adding Jenner to the talk show circuit, many are wondering if there will be some sort of "pregnancy watch" tie-in to bring in more viewers during its six-week summer test-run.
If this show does work, it would find an interesting line-up to compete against, as The Wendy Williams Show, Dish Nation, The Ricki Lake Show, and The Queen Latifah will have strong showings this year. Latifah's already syndicated program has already been cleared in more than 90% of the country.
