Kat Stacks to Be Deported, Mother Asks for Help

Kat Stacks to Be Deported, Mother Asks for Help

Tyler K. McDermott Posted July 25, 2012

After spending two years in a Louisiana jail, Kat Stacks is set to be deported back to her native country of Venezuela.

A judge ruled on the decision earlier this month to deport the famed model/groupie on grounds concerning her purpose to American society, brought up by social worker, Melinda Flynn in court. However, according to a letter written by her mother, Johnyelsi Cardenas, her daughter “is a Victim of Underage Sex Trafficking & Domestic Violence,” and deporting her will not help her current situation.

"Venezuela killing 20 to 30 people a day, kidnap 100 to 200 people a day, products such as principals milk, chicken, sugar, toilet paper, diapers etc. supermarkets spend 1 or 2 weeks without them,” she wrote. “The electricity is removed by 4 or 8 hours daily."

Cardenas further explained Stacks’ life story in the letter describing how she was solicited by a pimp at age 14, and later fell in a life of drug abuse. She is asking the public for help citing the judge’s ruling as an “injustice.”

"I REQUEST JUSTICE FOR ANDREA HERRERA. PLEASE HELP ME TO DO JUSTICE MY DAUGHTER DESERVES A SECOND CHANCE."

Kat Stacks—who prefers to go by her government name of Andrea now—has yet to speak on her mother’s pleading letter, but recently spoke to XXL about turning her life around during her stint in prison and her current immigration situation.

“Everybody deserves a second chance and the government won’t give it to me, she said. “It’s not right. People will see a different side now. If they’re going to persecute me for being Kat Stacks then they should persecute rappers for their lyrics and what they do in the videos.”
