Katy Perry is not hot and cold on the issue of motherhood. She expresses to Elle that she could care less what effect having children would have on her rising superstardom.
"I think some people will die on the stage, and I'm not so sure I want to do that. Like, I want to have kids," Perry says in the March issue of the magazine. "I'm totally fine with saying that. I think some people are scared because they're worried it's going to ruin their career, but I want to live a full life."
Other celebs like Gabrielle Union and Beyonce seem to be putting their fertile wombs on the backburner, but Perry always knew she'd be having a few bundles of joy eventuall -- singer or not.
She tells the women's mag, "I had two cars repossessed, and I was writing bad checks, but I gave myself a timeline. I thought, 'Okay, if I don't make it by 25, I'm just going to get married and pop out some babies and do some crafts.'"
Fans shouldn't get too worried about Perry jumping the enterainment ship just yet. Although motherhood is very important to the newlywed, she does plan to be a lasting musician much like Cyndi Lauper.
