Katy Perry And John Mayer Call It Quits... Again

Katy Perry and John Mayer have chucked the deuces to love...again.

Seven months after giving their relationship another go-round, the melodic twosome have reportedly split after spending some time apart. They reunited in the summer of 2012, about six months after the "Firework" singer filed for divorce from ex-husband/comedian Russell Brand. They called it quits in August only to get back together in September.

“In the last couple of weeks people noticed that they have not spent much time together at all,” Raha Lewis with People magazine told ABC News.

While romantic tweets were often sprinkled through Perry's timeline, she expressed her relationship struggles in her 2012 concert flick Katy Perry: Part Of Me. “They won’t be threatened or have weird motives,” Perry said about her ideal partner. “They will be accepting of me, the things I love, the ambition and what I aspire to.”

Things seemed all good just a couple weeks ago when Mayer spoke out about his relationship with the bodacious songbird. "I don't feel like I'm in a celebrity relationship. I don't feel it for the first time of my life... I really don't," he said in the televised interview. "I'm not even in a high-profile (relationship)...I know it's high-profile, but it's hard to explain. It doesn't feel that way to me and it's great and I'm glad..."

For now, work will keep the ex-lovebirds busy. Mayer is getting ready to hit the road for his upcoming tour while Perry is reportedly working on her next album.
