Kelis Serves Up Yummy Treats At The Melt Opening

Many remember Kelis for her spunky lyrics and eccentric style but the "Caught Out There" singer is actually a certified chef.

She put her Cordon Bleu Culinary School degree to use at the opening of the popular Bay Area grilled cheese restaurant The Melt in Los Angeles. When founder Jonathan Kaplan--best known for discovering the Flip video camera--learned of her cooking prowess, he put Kelis to work behind the counter.

Rocking two chains and tattered jeans, Kelis whipped up an untraditional dessert s'more melt for the lucky foodies in attendance.
