On Thursday, June 27, the good kid, m.A.A.d city rapper will receive the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers’ (ASCAP) Vanguard Award. This top honor recognizes the impact of musical genres that help shape the future of music. Previous Vanguard recipients include Janelle Monae, Beastie Boys, Diplo and Santigold.
