Kendrick Lamar's checkmate of a verse on Big Sean's "Control" had the entire rap game watching the throne but now, GQ Magazine has hailed the Compton boy the "next king of rap" on the cover of their Man of the Year issue.
Within the pages, the good kid, m.A.A.d. city lyricist addresses the status of his friendship with Drake, which has been on the rocks since Drizzy made his feelings clear about Kendrick's bar fest in previous interviews.
"Pretty cool," says Kendrick when asked if he and Drake are cool now, before adding, "I mean, I would be okay if we weren't ... If anything. We all peers."
