Kesha entered rehab for an undisclosed eating disorder recently, and now her mother is speaking out against those she believes helped cause her daughter's condition.
In a recent interview with People, Pebe Sebert blames Dr. Luke and advisors around her daughter for putting immense pressure on her to lose weight too quickly, causing her to spiral into bulimia and ultimately seeking professional help.
Just before Christmas, she 'had a breakdown' and checked into rehab, and Sebert claims, "Dr. Luke had been telling her how she had to get in shape and lose weight and all this stuff. She was exercising and dieting and ultimately doing everything she could, but not getting thin fast enough. And that's when she first became bulimic."
Kesha's mom also asserts that Dr. Luke “told a friend of ours he thought she looked like a refrigerator" in her latest video.
Dr. Luke has denied all allegations as false, releasing this statement: "It is unfortunate that at a time Ke$ha is suffering immensely and trying to heal at a treatment center, her mother is taking this approach with the media. I give Ke$ha my utmost support and well wishes for a quick return to health."
Kesha's new single with Pitbull 'Timber' recently topped Billboard charts in both the U.S. and the UK. Just two weeks away from the first show of the run, Ke$ha and Pitbull canceled their October/November tour of Australia. No reason was given at the time. -- Max Weinstein
