In 1995, Detroit Piston's guard Grant Hill captured co-rookie of the year honors after his first successful season with the storied franchise. Hill was a two-time collegiate champion at Duke University and the third overall pick in the 1994 NBA draft. His popularity earned him a trip to the All-Star game in his first season, where he became the first rookie to lead the league in All-Star fan ballots. FILA signed the rising star to a lucrative endorsement deal, branding Hill as the face of their basketball ventures. Hill spent 19 seasons in the NBA, overcoming injuries and contributing to four different franchises. On the heels of his retirement, FILA will be re-releasing Hill's first signature sneaker, the FILA 95. The retro installments are strikingly similar to the original versions. FILA plans to release both the black/black colorway in addition to the classic white/navy models. Look for these to hit select FILA retailers and FILA.com on September 19.
