In the most recent episode of X-Factor, viewers were shocked when fan favorite, 15-year-old Brian ‘Astro’ Bradley was in the bottom two. During the episode, Astro was unwilling to perform at the end of the show saying, “No disrespect to you or this show, but I just feel like if you wanna put me in the bottom two, I don’t wanna perform for people who don’t want me here. That’s it.”
Astro has spoke with New York Post
about the experience and why he reacted the way he did about the news of the possibility of being voted off.
“I reacted the way I did because it was something that went on behind the scenes that was X Factor’s way of punishing me. I don’t understand how you can have the most followers on Twitter, the most views on YouTube out of everybody in the competition and get voted into the bottom two. I thought something was jiggy, but I’m over it.”
When asked if he learned anything about the experience he simply stated, “lesson learned is just to handle things different… but I wouldn’t change a thing.” His mother was by his side during the entire time on the show and kept encouraging him to quit before this incident happened, “She was telling me to just leave and go home,” he says.Yet he was reluctant to leave before his time was up.
Despite all the controversy he’s excited to perform again and hoping to stay another week on X Factor.–Brittny Pierre
