Kim Kardashian Calls Kanye Her 'Best Friend'

With a cover shot taken just days before Kanye West's big baby announcement, his girlfriend Kim Kardashian dishes on marriage and babies in the April issue of "Cosmopolitan."

Kim K. shares in the cover story that although she previously judged her sister Kourtney's baby out of wedlock, her relationship with Mr. West has given her a new perspective.

“I was like, ‘You’re not married! How could you do this?’ I was really firm and strict,” Kim said. “But she was like, ‘Marriage isn’t what I want.’ And later, I realized she had a better family life than I did."

Kim also talked about her sister Khloe's marriage, saying that it made her rush into things -- which may have been a reference to her short romance with husband Kris Humphries. She says she later learned to be patient.

“[Now] I say give it a good six months before you commit. Feelings change, even if it seems so lustful,” she said.

Citing all the things she learned along the way, Kim expressed to Cosmopolitan her happiness with Kanye despite the fact that they remain unwed.

“This is where I probably always should have been… [marriage] is something I know that we both want in our future, but I don’t have this sense of urgency about it,” she said. “I have this best friend who understands me and helps me through all my tough experiences, and vice versa, you know? It just feels like this is it for me.”

Meanwhile, Kim K.'s divorce trial with Kris Humphries is scheduled to being on May 6.
