Pop icon Lady Gaga recently attended a political fundraiser for President Barack Obama in Silicon Valley Sunday evening.
The lavish affair was hosted in the yard of Cheryl Sandberg's home, the chief operating officer of Facebook. About 70 people attended the $35,800-a-person event.
It's not clear exactly why Gaga was in attendance but she tweeted to her followers last week that she planned to meet with the president to discuss how America can combat bullying. Jamey Rodemeyer, 14 yrs old, took his life because of bullying," her Twitter post said. "Bullying must become be illegal. It is a hate crime."
The young teen took his life on September 18. His final Twitter post read: "bye mother monster (Gaga calls herself "mother monster" and her fans "little monsters") thank you for all you have done, paws up forever" and was included in her video tribute to him.
Sources have not yet confirmed if Gaga was actually able to speak to President Obama.
