An entertainment company, reportedly claiming to rep singer Lady Gaga, has been dealt a million dollar lawsuit following an identity scam.
The New York-based American Talent Agency allegedly duped a company called Grooveyard after accepting $320,000 for Lady Gaga to perform at October shows in Dublin and Belfast. After Grooveyard begin to promote Gaga's performance, promotion company AEG Live claimed to represent Lady Gaga, and followed up with a cease and desist order to Grooveyard.
Grooveyard has now filed suit at a New York court.
Beginning November 24, Lady Gaga is expected to hit the road with Kanye West for a 34-city tour. The performers' first date is scheduled for Las Vegas. -Linda Hobbs
