When in Rome, eat pasta, when in Amsterdam, smoke a doobie. Lady Gaga sparked up bit of a controversy when she lit up a joint on stage during her performance in Amsterdam on Monday night. Marijuana is “tolerated” in the Netherlands, so nonetheless, Gaga didn’t see the harm in a few puffs. “Is it real?” she asked her “little monsters” as she took a whiff. “Oh, it’s real. F–kin A.”

Gaga shared that using marijuana is an extremely spiritual experience that helps with her music, even joking that she wanted to talk to President Obama about legalizing it. After taking about three puffs onstage, she threw the joint back into the crowd. “And for those of you who are wondering if I’m high right now, I am not. That is not nearly enough to get me high,” Gaga giggled.

In other Gaga news, the young 18-year-old EDM prodigy known as Madeon will be the main supporting act for Mother Monster for her US Born This Way Ball in 2013. The producer and DJ will visit a variety of locations including Los Angeles, Las Vegas and New York. The tour starts in January in Vancouver and will last for 17 dates. Madeon’s next single will be The City, which is released on Monday October 8th.
