Lamar Odom is headed to a different kind of court following his Aug. 30 arrest on charges for driving under the influence, the Los Angeles City's Attorney Office said. The former Laker was stopped after reportedly driving his white Mercedes Benz at 50 MPH in "a serpentine manner" on the California Highway Patrol at nearly 4 in the morning.
According to a CHP report, Odom showed "objective signs of intoxication and was unable to perform field sobriety tests as explained and demonstrated." He has kept a low profile since rumors surfaced of his alleged crack cocaine use and split from wife/ reality star Khloe Kardashian.
The NBA free agent, who hired former O.J. Simpson defense attorney Robert Shapiro to represent him, is scheduled to be arraigned Sept. 27.
