Word on the street is that Clint Eastwood is hoping to pair Leonardo DiCaprio with Beyoncé for the musical movie remake of A Star Is Born. Eastwood is producing the film through and helming the script, originally written by Will Fetters.
Beyonce is already set for the film, which has been at Warner Bros for several years. There was talk of originally pairing Bee and Will Smith but Eastwood thinks casting Leo as the male lead would make for a more interesting movie.
There have been a trio of A Star Is Born versions made since the 1930s, the last one coming in 1976 with Kris Kristofferson and Barbara Streisand the wannabe.
Props to Deadline.
