Fans around the world are rejoicing for Lil Boosie who will officially be released from prison Feb. 13, according to Hot 97. The Louisiana rapper was initially reported to finish his sentencing on Aug. 18, after pleading guilty to drug smuggling charges, but received an earlier release time.
The 31-year-old was also awaiting trial for a first-degree murder case that he plead not guilty to.
As for his plans upon release, the “Long Journey” MC has new music (see "Show The World" featuring Webbie) and is set to hit the booth immediately, says brother, Taquari Hatch.
“He has plans to go straight to the studio to begin working on an album as well as his tour,” he said about the gig slated for late spring/ early summer.
Boosie was sentenced to eight years in prison in June 2010.
