Rap star Lil Wayne's sentencing on gun charges has been set for February 2010.
The rapper showed up at a Manhattan court today, where he was scheduled to reappear Feb. 9 to be sentenced. According to the Associated Press, Lil Wayne remained silent during his brief court appearance.
In October, Wayne pleaded guilty to felony weapons charges. After being informed he faced a hefty three and a half years behind bars, his attorney struck up a plea deal on the rapper's behalf. The charges against the rapper stem from a 2007 incident in which his tour bus was pulled over by police following a show at Beacon Theatre, the rapper's first headlining show in New York City. Authorities found a loaded .40 caliber semi-automatic pistol. - Linda Hobbs
