Lil Wayne Talks 'Devol' Album: "It's My Version of Love Songs"

Lil Wayne plans to continue showing us how to love on his upcoming LP Devol (“devil”).

“That’s ‘loved’ spelled backwards, and it’s my version of love songs,” he explained on last night's debut installment of MTV's “Hip Hop POV.” But he’s not talking about the type of love you celebrate on Valentine’s Day.

"What I mean by my version of love songs is meaning they're not saying, 'I love you,' " he explains to Amanda Seales. "It's all material I did when I was locked up."

“Hip Hop POV” premiered last night with appearances from Charlamagne Tha God, Devi Dev, Bu Thiam and Sowmya Krishnamurthy. You can check out a clip of Weezy's interview below. —Stephanie Long
